Medical College of Wisconsin Myeloma Conference and HealthTree Workshop, September 29, 2018
On Saturday, September 29, 2018, the Medical College of Wisconsin is hosting it’s 2nd annual Multiple Myeloma Patient and Caregiver Symposium. The event will be held from 8-3 pm at the Ingleside Hotel (formerly the Country Springs Hotel) in Pewaukee, WI, and is provided free to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
Keynote and Featured speakers are Dr. Edward Stadtmauer, Section Chief Hematologic Malignancies at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, and Dr. Parameswaran Hari, Chief of Hematology and Oncology Division at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Network, respectively.
Dr. Stadtmauer, MD will be discussing CAR-T therapy use in myeloma patients, and Dr. Hari will be presenting the Future of Myeloma Care. Breakout sessions will cover a wide variety of topics important to myeloma patients, including: nutrition, understanding your labs, transplants, and caregiver strain. SparkCures will be presenting in the afternoon session on finding and understanding your clinical trial options.
