Myeloma Crowd Cycling: Richard Hite, Myeloma Survivor

On July 14, 2018 Richard Hite, multiple myeloma cancer survivor, will be participating in the Cache Gran Fondo cycling event.  He will be riding along with other cancer survivors and team Myeloma Crowd Cycling to find a cure for multiple myeloma. He is aware that there are many people that are fighting cancer and are not able to ride a bike or to be as active as they would like.  He certainly understands what that feels like.  Richard was diagnosed in 2015 and had a stem cell transplant that same year.

“I understand the discouragement that comes while undergoing treatment,” Richard says. “I am riding in this event to show those battling with Multiple Myeloma that there is hope.  There is a light at the end of the tunnel.  It is possible to enjoy life.  Better days of health are ahead.  It is these cancer survivors that I will be riding for.  Nothing is more personal to me than to help find a cure for this awful disease.”

If you would like more information on joining Myeloma Crowd Cycling please visit www.mccycling.org for more information.   The club is open to anyone and everyone regardless of whether they ride a bike or hope to at some point in the future.  You can also visit the FaceBook page for updates on the event.

The event has different lengths of 38, 50, 70, and 113 miles and will take place in beautiful Cache Valley, Utah.

“For those that are in the fight, hang in there.  Better days are ahead.”
