Patient Power Myeloma Roundtable at ASH 2016: Tailoring Tools and Aiming for a Cure in Myeloma

BY PATIENT POWER Is there a vaccine for multiple myeloma? What other new information came out of ASH 2016 for myeloma patients? Dr. Robert Orlowski, Director of Myeloma at MD Anderson Cancer Center hosts this roundtable with Dr. Noopur Raje of Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Gareth Morgan of University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Dr. David Avigan of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and the founder of Myeloma Crowd, Jennifer Ahlstrom who is also a myeloma patient and activist. Together, the panel discusses the vaccine including its clinical trial, combination treatments, immunotherapy updates, Nelfinar—the AIDS drug work in myeloma, diet and MGUS.
