Staying on Road of Life in Spite of a Multiple Myeloma Diagnosis with the help of a Myeloma Coach with Doug Stewart

Three years ago when Doug Stewart, an avid cyclist and outdoorsman was diagnosed with myeloma he was told he would no longer be able to participate in the activities he loved.  He decided not to listen to the discouraging words.  He moved forward approaching his treatment and stem cell transplant with optimism & strength and continued being physically active.  He chose to become a Myeloma Coach to encourage others to do the same.  As a Coach he works to listen and to be a friend to others battling myeloma.

"Because this disease is treatable it’s important to have someone to talk to that can help you through the emotional and physical aspects.  Coaches are essential in fighting myeloma.  When you have a Coach, it helps build a positive attitude that you can get through this disease."
    -Doug Stewart, Ogden, UT
